I'm curently a tired, stay-at-home Mom to a preschooler and a kindergartner. In the few minutes each day I'm not taking care of the kids, I'm trying to work on house upkeep or scrapbooking or playing Rockband. My husband and I are constantly in the middle of a remodeling project- currently a few in the yard.
I need to read in order to survive. I discovered in college that reading for pleasure was a requirement for me. With the kids, a busy schedule, and often broken sleep, I don't have the brain power for literature. So, at this point in my life, I am reading mostly mystery (JD Robb, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child), romance (Nora Roberts), hard Science fiction, and fantasy (Robert Jordan). On top of that, there are some science and green living magazines and books that fill in the small bits of time.
I am focusing on getting physically fit by training for my second Breast Cancer 3-Day event. (Seattle, September 12-14). It gets me moving, helps others, and gives me time away from my kids.
Healthy cooking, knitting, travel, hiking/camping, and hanging out with friends are all things I like to do. I'm getting to do some of each as the kids get older. Yeah!!
